Smoky Pecans Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs pecan halves
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  •  Hickory wood chips

Directions
  • Step #1 Soak wood chips in water for at least 30 mins.
  • Step #2 Prepare charcoal fire in smoker; let burn 15 to 20 mins.
  • Step #3 Drain chips, & place on coals.
  • Step #4 Place water pan in smoker; add water to depth of fill line.
  • Step #5 Stir together pecans, butter, & salt in a 24- x 12-inch pan.
  • Step #6 Place on upper food rack; cover with smoker lid.
  • Step #7 Cook 1 hr or until golden, stirring once after 30 mins.
  • Step #8 NOTE: Use a baking pan that fits your grill if the 24X12 inch pan is too large.
