Chicken And Mushroom Saute Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tsps butter
  • 1 packet chicken bouillon granules
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • salt & ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - lbed thin
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 c water
  • 1 (4.5 oz) can mushrooms, drained
  • 2 tsps vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 c all-purpose flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Spice up flour with salt & pepper.
  • Step #2 Dredge chicken in seasoned flour onto a sheet of wax paper.
  • Step #3 In a nonstick skillet, mix the vegetable oil & butter or margarine & heat over medium high heat until bubbly & hot.
  • Step #4 Add chicken & cook this until lightly browned on both sides & cooked through, 3 to 4 mins.
  • Step #5 Remove chicken & set aside.
  • Step #6 To the same skillet, add the mushrooms & saute for about 5 mins.
  • Step #7 Combine the water, cornstarch, broth mix, parsley, garlic powder, salt & pepper & add to the skillet.
  • Step #8 Cook, stirring frequently, until liquid is thickened, 1 to 2 mins.
  • Step #9 Return chicken to the skillet & cook this until chicken is heated through, 1 to 2 mins.
  • Step #10 Serve.
