Spicy Jack Cheese Crisps Recipe

Ingredients
  • 96 pecan halves
  • 2 (8-oz) blocks Monterey Jack cheese with peppers, shredded
  • 2 c flour
  • 1/2 c butter, softened

Directions
  • Step #1 Beat softened butter & Monterey Jack cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer until mixed; add flour, beating until mixed.
  • Step #2 Divide dough into 3 equal portions; shape each portion into a 6-inch log.
  • Step #3 Cover up & chill at least 8 hrs.
  • Step #4 Cut each log into 32 (1/8-inch) slices, & place on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Step #5 Gently press 1 pecan half into center of each wafer.
  • Step #6 Bake, in batches, at 350° for 8 to 10 mins.
  • Step #7 Remove crisps to wire racks to cool.
  • Step #8 Store in an airtight container.
  • Step #9 Prep: 30 min.
  • Step #10 , Chill: 8 hrs.
  • Step #11 , Bake: 10 min.
