Crispy Broiled Shrimp With Tangy Cocktail Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp water
  •  Cooking spray
  • 1/4 c cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 1/2 c finely crushed reduced-fat round buttery crackers (about 35 crackers) (such as Ritz)
  •  Lemon wedges
  • 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled & deveined (about 24 shrimp)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  •  Tangy Cocktail Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp ground white pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine shrimp & cornstarch in a zip-top plastic bag; seal & shake to coat.
  • Step #2 Combine water & egg whites in a bowl; beat with a whisk until foamy.
  • Step #3 Combine crumbs, paprika, salt, & pepper.
  • Step #4 Dip shrimp in egg white mixture; dredge in crumb mixture.
  • Step #5 Place on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray; lightly coat shrimp with cooking spray.
  • Step #6 Preheat broiler.
  • Step #7 Broil 5 mins or until shrimp are done, turning once.
  • Step #8 Serve with Tangy Cocktail Sauce & lemon wedges.
