Pesto Torte Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (3-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 (4-oz) packages provolone cheese slices (8 slices)
  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  •  Vegetable cooking spray
  • 1 (7.5-oz) jar pesto in olive oil
  • 2 tbsps unsalted butter
  •  Assorted crackers
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 (8-oz) jar sundried tomatoes in oil, undrained
  • 1 (8-oz) package shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 c mayonnaise

Directions
  • Step #1 Line the bottom of a 9- x 5-inch loafpan with plastic wrap, allowing 5 to 6 inches to hang over edges; coat plastic wrap with cooking spray.
  • Step #2 Line bottom & sides of pan with provolone cheese slices.
  • Step #3 Process mozzarella cheese & next 8 ingredients in a food processor/blender or mixer until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides.
  • Step #4 Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the prepared pan, pressing with spatula.
  • Step #5 Fold plastic wrap over torte; chill 12 hrs.
  • Step #6 Invert chilled torte on a serving dish; discard plastic wrap.
  • Step #7 Serve torte with assorted crackers.
