Prosciutto-wrapped Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients
  • 16 (8"x 1") slices prosciutto
  • 16 unpeeled, jumbo fresh shrimp
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsps dried oregano
  • 1/4 c vermouth
  • 1/2 c olive oil
  • 1 tsp freshly ground pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Peel & devein shrimp.
  • Step #2 Combine oil & next 4 ingredients In a large-ish heavy-duty, zip-top plastic bag.
  • Step #3 Add shrimp; seal bag, & marinate in refrigerator 1 hr, turning once.
  • Step #4 Soak 8 (6") wooden skewers in water to cover at least 30 mins.
  • Step #5 Remove shrimp from marinade, discarding marinade.
  • Step #6 Wrap 1 piece prosciutto around each shrimp.
  • Step #7 Thread 2 shrimp onto each skewer.
  • Step #8 Place skewers on rack of a lightly greased broiler pan.
  • Step #9 Broil 5 1/2" from heat (with electric oven door partially opened) 7 to 9 mins or until shrimp turn pink, turning once.
