Chocolate Bundt Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 c butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c shortening

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 325F degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Grease & flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.
  • Step #3 Sift flour, baking powder, salt & cocoa.
  • Step #4 Set aside.
  • Step #5 In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening, sugar, & vanilla until light & fluffy.
  • Step #6 Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  • Step #7 Add flour mixture alternately with the milk.
  • Step #8 Mix well.
  • Step #9 Pour into 10 inch Bundt pan.
  • Step #10 Bake at 325F F (165 degrees C) for 70 mins or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.
  • Step #11 Let cool for 10 mins in the pan, then turn out onto a wire rack & cool completely.
