Garlic-and-rosemary Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps white wine vinegar
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp dried crushed red pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsps sliced fresh rosemary
  • 1 lb unpeeled, medium-size fresh shrimp
  • 1/4 c extra virgin olive oil
  •  Garnishes: lemon slices, red chile peppers, fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 1 large garlic bulb
  • 2 tbsps butter or margarine
  • 3 dried red chile peppers
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 c dry white wine

Directions
  • Step #1 Peel shrimp, leaving tails on; devein, if desired, & set aside.
  • Step #2 Melt butter with oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #3 Cut garlic bulb in half crosswise; separate & peel cloves.
  • Step #4 Add to butter mixture; saute 2 mins.
  • Step #5 Stir in wine & next 8 ingredients; cook, stirring constantly, 1 min or until thoroughly heated.
  • Step #6 Add shrimp; cook 5 to 6 mins or just until shrimp turn pink.
  • Step #7 Garnish, if desired.
  • Step #8 Note: If serving over pasta, remove bay leaves.
