Spicy Herb Roasted Nuts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c almonds
  • 1 c pecan halves
  • 1/2 c maple syrup
  • 1 c hazelnuts
  • 1 1/2 tsps sliced fresh savory leaves
  • 1 1/2 c walnut halves
  • 1 1/2 tsps sliced fresh oregano leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsps sliced fresh rosemary leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsps sliced fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsps sliced fresh sage leaves
  • 3 tbsps olive oil
  •  About 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1 1/2 tsps sliced fresh marjoram leaves

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix almonds, rosemary, marjoram, pecans, walnuts, cayenne, oregano, thyme, sage, hazelnuts, maple syrup, savory, & oil in a 10- by 15-inch rimmed pan.
  • Step #2 Sprinkle top nuts with 1 tsp salt.
  • Step #3 Bake in a 300° oven, stirring every once in awhile, until all liquid evaporates & nuts are golden under the skin (break open to test), about 45 mins.
  • Step #4 Let cool.
  • Step #5 Taste & add more salt if desired.
  • Step #6 Nutritional analysis per 1/4 c.
