Hummus Bi Tahina Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 c plus 1 tbsp tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 3 small cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsps water
  • 2 (15-oz) cans garbanzo beans, undrained

Directions
  • Step #1 Drain garbanzo beans, reserving 1/4 c liquid, & set aside.
  • Step #2 Position knife blade in food processor/blender bowl.
  • Step #3 Drop garlic through food chute with processor running, & process 3 seconds or until minced.
  • Step #4 Add garbanzo beans, reserved 1/4 c liquid, & remaining ingredients; process 3 mins or until smooth.
  • Step #5 Spoon mixture into a serving bowl.
  • Step #6 Serve with pita bread & raw vegetables.
