Crostini With Honey, Gorgonzola, And Figs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 (1/2-inch-thick) Italian bread slices, toasted (about 4 oz)
  • 6 dried Calimyrna figs, each cut lengthwise into 4 slices
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 oz Gorgonzola cheese or blue cheese
  • 1/2 c water

Directions
  • Step #1 Place water & figs in a 2-c glass measure.
  • Step #2 Cover up with heavy-duty plastic wrap, & vent.
  • Step #3 Microwave at HIGH 2 mins.
  • Step #4 Drain; discard liquid.
  • Step #5 Spread honey evenly over bread slices, & spread the cheese (at about room temp) over honey.
  • Step #6 Top each bread slice with 3 fig slices.
