Sweet-hot Honey Mustard Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 1/2 c dry mustard
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 c white vinegar
  • 1/2 c honey

Directions
  • Step #1 Whisk together sugar & mustard in a heavy 3-quart saucepan; slowly whisk in vinegar & eggs until mixed.
  • Step #2 Cook mustard mixture over med-heat/flame, whisking constantly, 10 to 12 mins or until smooth & thickened.
  • Step #3 Remove from heat, & whisk in honey.
  • Step #4 Let cool, & store this in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
  • Step #5 Cranberry-Pecan Chicken Salad: Stir together 8 c sliced cooked chicken; 3 celery ribs, sliced; 5 green onions, thinly sliced; 1 1/2 c sliced, toasted pecans; 1 (6-oz) package sweetened dried cranberries; 1 c mayonnaise; & 1/2 c Sweet-Hot Honey Mustard.
  • Step #6 Spice up with salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step #7 Cover up & chill up to 3 days.
  • Step #8 Makes 6 to 8 servings.
