Chocolate Caramel Tortillas Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 (8 inch) flour tortillas
  • 1/2 c semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsps water
  • 23 individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Lightly coat baking sheets with cooking spray.
  • Step #3 Stack tortillas & cut into 8 wedges, to make 48 wedges total.
  • Step #4 Arrange wedges in a single layer on prepared sheets & lightly spray with cooking spray.
  • Step #5 Bake in preheated oven until crisp & golden, about 10 mins.
  • Step #6 Slide onto wire rack to cool.
  • Step #7 In a small saucepan over low heat/flame, melt chocolate.
  • Step #8 In another small saucepan over low heat/flame, melt caramels with water.
  • Step #9 Place a sheet of waxed paper under rack with tortillas.
  • Step #10 Working with about 12 at a time, drizzle chocolate & caramel over tortillas using a fork.
  • Step #11 Let stand on waxed paper to set.
  • Step #12 You may need to remelt between batches.
  • Step #13 When set, store this in an airtight container between layers of waxed paper.
