Garlic-and-rosemary Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 c white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 c extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 lbs unpeeled, medium-size fresh shrimp
  • 1 tbsp sliced fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp dried crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 c lemon juice
  • 1 c dry white wine
  • 1/4 c butter or margarine
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 large garlic bulb
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 4 dried red chile peppers

Directions
  • Step #1 Peel shrimp, if desired, leaving tails on; devein, & set aside.
  • Step #2 Melt butter with oil In a large-ish skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #3 Separate & peel garlic cloves.
  • Step #4 Add to butter mixture, & sauté 2 mins.
  • Step #5 Stir in dry white wine & next 8 ingredients; bring to a boil.
  • Step #6 Boil, stirring every once in awhile, 8 to 10 mins or until reduced by half & thoroughly heated.
  • Step #7 Add half of shrimp.
  • Step #8 Cook 5 to 6 mins or just until shrimp turn pink; remove with a slotted spoon.
  • Step #9 Cook remaining shrimp 5 to 6 mins or just until shrimp turn pink.
  • Step #10 Serve with warm broth.
