Shrimp In Sake-garlic Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c sake
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 8 oz rinsed deveined peeled medium shrimp (41 to 50 per lb.)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sliced parsley
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced onion or shallot
  • 3 tbsps butter
  •  Crusty bread or hot cooked rice

Directions
  • Step #1 In an 8- to 10-inch frying pan over med-heat/flame, stir garlic & onion in olive oil until golden brown, about 2 mins.
  • Step #2 Add shrimp & sake.
  • Step #3 Stir often until shrimp are opaque but still moist-looking in center of thickest part (cut to test), 2 to 3 mins.
  • Step #4 Add butter, soy sauce, & parsley; stir until butter is melted & mixed into sauce.
  • Step #5 Spoon into 4 small shallow bowls.
  • Step #6 Serve with crusty bread or hot cooked rice.
