Shrimp Saté With Peanut Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 2 tbsps honey
  • 1/2 c creamy peanut butter
  • 1 c loosely packed fresh cilantro leaves
  • 2 tbsps water
  • 24 unpeeled, large fresh shrimp
  • 4 garlic cloves, quartered
  • 2 tbsps dark sesame oil
  • 1/3 c lite soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsps fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsps minced fresh ginger

Directions
  • Step #1 Peel shrimp, & devein, leaving tails intact, if desired; set aside.
  • Step #2 Combine ginger & next 9 ingredients in a food processor/blender.
  • Step #3 Process until well mixed, stopping to scrape down sides.
  • Step #4 Thread 2 shrimp onto each of 12 (6-inch) skewers.
  • Step #5 Measure 1/4 c peanut sauce, & brush on shrimp.
  • Step #6 Reserve remaining sauce.
  • Step #7 Grill, covered with lid, over medium-high heat (350° to 400°) 3 mins on each side or until done.
  • Step #8 Serve with reserved sauce.
