Crab Fritters Recipe

Ingredients
  •  Creole Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 c biscuit mix
  • 1/2 lb fresh crabmeat
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 1/2 tsp grated lemon rind
  • 1 tbsp sliced fresh parsley
  •  Vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsps fresh lemon juice
  • 1 large egg

Directions
  • Step #1 Drain & flake crabmeat, removing any bits of shell.
  • Step #2 Stir together biscuit mix & next 5 ingredients; make a well in center of mixture.
  • Step #3 Combine milk & next 3 ingredients; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
  • Step #4 Add crabmeat.
  • Step #5 Pour vegetable oil to a depth of 2 inches in a Dutch oven; heat to 375°.
  • Step #6 Drop batter by tspfuls into hot oil, a few at a time, & fry, 30 seconds or until golden brown, turning once.
  • Step #7 Serve as soon as possible with Creole Sauce.
