Creamy Salsa Dip Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c finely sliced onion
  • 3 tbsps sliced fresh cilantro, divided
  • 1 finely sliced seeded jalapeño pepper
  • 1 tsp habanero hot pepper sauce or any hot pepper sauce
  • 1 (16-oz) carton low-fat sour cream
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can sliced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 tsps olive oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat the oil In a large-ish nonstick skillet over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #2 Add onion, garlic, & jalapeño; cover & cook 3 mins or until onion is tender.
  • Step #3 Add tomatoes; bring to a boil.
  • Step #4 Reduce heat, uncovered, & let simmer, 5 mins.
  • Step #5 Cool completely.
  • Step #6 Stir in 2 tbsps cilantro, pepper sauce, & sour cream.
  • Step #7 Cover up & chill in the fridge.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top with the remaining 1 tbsp cilantro.
