Step #1 Prepare grill.
Step #2 Mash dash of salt & garlic with a mortar & pestle or the back of a spoon to make a fine paste.
Step #3 Combine garlic mixture & oil in a small bowl.
Step #4 Place bread on grill rack; grill 1 min on each side or until golden brown.
Step #5 Rub both sides of toasted bread slices with cut sides of tomatoes, seeds, squeezing slightly to leave pulp, & juice on bread.
Step #6 Discard tomato peels.
Step #7 Spread garlic mixture over bread slices; sprinkle with 1/4 tsp salt & pepper.
Step #8 Cut each slice diagonally in half.
Step #9 Arrange ham & cheese over bread pieces, & sprinkle with olives.
Step #10 Serve as soon as possible.
