Country Chicken Supper Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c water
  • 3 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 (15 oz) can green beans
  • 1 c uncooked white rice
  • 1 potato, peeled & sliced
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can sliced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can carrots, drained
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c sliced onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut chicken into bite size pieces.
  • Step #2 Heat oil in a large skillet over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #3 Saute onion & chicken for about 3 mins.
  • Step #4 Add green beans, rice, tomatoes with liquids (not drained), carrots, potato, salt & pepper to skillet.
  • Step #5 Mix carefully.
  • Step #6 Pour water over top of chicken mixture.
  • Step #7 Cover skillet & let simmer over medium low heat, stirring every once in awhile, for 20 mins or until rice & potato are tender.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top chicken mixture with cheese.
  • Step #9 Let stand covered for 5 mins & serve.
