Chocolate Crinkle Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 c semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c confectioners' sugar for rolling
  • 2 (1 oz) squares semisweet chocolate, sliced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions
  • Step #1 Sift together the flour & baking powder; set aside.
  • Step #2 In a medium bowl, stir chocolate into melted butter until melted & smooth.
  • Step #3 Mix in the sugar, eggs & vanilla.
  • Step #4 Gradually mix in the sifted ingredients.
  • Step #5 Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Step #6 Cover dough & chill for at least 2 hrs or overnight.
  • Step #7 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #8 Grease cookie sheets or line them with parchment paper.
  • Step #9 Roll the chilled dough into 1 inch balls & roll each ball in confectioners' sugar.
  • Step #10 Place cookies 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.
  • Step #11 Bake for 9 to 12 mins in the preheated oven, until the tops are cracked.
  • Step #12 Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
