Prosciutto-wrapped Figs Stuffed With Blue Cheese Recipe

Ingredients
  •  Dash of salt
  • 2 tbsps honey
  • 2 oz thinly sliced prosciutto, cut into 12 strips
  • 1/4 c balsamic vinegar
  • 2 oz blue cheese, cut into 12 cubes
  • 12 large fresh black Mission figs, trimmed
  •  Cooking spray
  • 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut each fig in half vertically, cutting to, but not through, base of fig.
  • Step #2 Spread slightly apart.
  • Step #3 Place 1 cube of cheese inside each fig; carefully close to seal.
  • Step #4 Wrap one prosciutto strip around each fig.
  • Step #5 Preheat grill.
  • Step #6 Combine vinegar & next 3 ingredients (through salt) in a small saucepan; bring to a boil.
  • Step #7 Reduce heat, & let simmer until thick, about 10 mins.
  • Step #8 Cool.
  • Step #9 Place figs on grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 6 mins, turning every once in awhile, until prosciutto is crisp.
  • Step #10 Drizzle each fig with balsamic syrup.
