Cheese Wafers Recipe

Ingredients
  •  Dash of salt
  • 1 1/2 c (6 oz) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c finely sliced almonds
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c cornflakes cereal, crushed
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine, softened
  •  Dash of paprika

Directions
  • Step #1 Process cheese & butter in a food processor/blender until mixed.
  • Step #2 Add flour, & paprika; process until mixture forms a ball, salt, stopping once to scrape down sides.
  • Step #3 Add cereal & almonds; process until mixed, stopping twice to scrape down sides.
  • Step #4 Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
  • Step #5 Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Step #6 Flatten each dough ball in a crisscross pattern with a fork dipped in flour.
  • Step #7 Bake at 350°, in batches, for 14 to 15 mins or until lightly browned.
  • Step #8 Remove to wire racks to cool.
  • Step #9 Store in an airtight container up to 1 week.
