Shrimp With Garlic In Olive Oil Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tsps sliced fresh parsley for garnish
  • 1/2 c extra-virgin olive oil
  • 6 garlic cloves, peeled & sliced
  • 12 small pieces crusty bread (Italian-style)
  • 1 dried chile pepper, coarsely sliced, or 1 tsp crushed red pepper, or to taste
  • 1 1/2 lbs peeled small shrimp, or large shrimp, peeled & sliced
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt, or to taste
  •  Lemon wedges for serving

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine the olive oil, preferably cast iron, garlic, & chile pepper in a 10- to 12-inch skillet, & turn heat to medium.
  • Step #2 When the garlic begins to sizzle & turn golden, add the shrimp.
  • Step #3 Cook, until the shrimp just turn pink & opaque, stirring, 2-4 mins.
  • Step #4 Stir in salt, directly from the pan, garnish with parsley, & serve as soon as possible, with lemon wedges & bread.
