Low-country Boil Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lbs kielbasa sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 head garlic, halved
  • 6 ears corn, cut into thirds
  • 2 medium white onions, cut into eighths
  • 1 3-oz package Zatarains Crab Boil in Bag (available at most supermarkets)
  • 1 1/2 lbs shrimp, shelled & deveined
  • 2 medium green peppers, cut into strips

Directions
  • Step #1 Fill a stockpot halfway with water.
  • Step #2 Add the Zatarains, onions, & garlic & bring to a boil.
  • Step #3 Add the sausage & let simmer over medium-high heat for 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Add the peppers & corn, bring back to a boil, & add the shrimp.
  • Step #5 Cook until the shrimp are pink, about 3 to 4 mins.
  • Step #6 Strain.
  • Step #7 Serve with cocktail sauce, bread, saltines, & salad.
