Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c tahini (sesame-seed paste)
  • 2 (19-oz) cans chickpeas (garbanzo beans), rinsed & drained
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 6 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 3/4 c water
  • 6 tbsps fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Place first 3 ingredients in a food processor/blender; process until smooth.
  • Step #2 Add juice & remaining ingredients; process until smooth, scraping sides every once in awhile.
