Anchovy Pinwheels Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh parsley
  • 1 (17 1/4-oz) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 tbsps butter, softened
  •  Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh chives
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 (2-oz) can anchovies, drained & minced
  • 1 tbsp water

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine anchovies & next 4 ingredients; mix well, & set aside.
  • Step #2 Roll each pastry sheet into a 12-inch square on a lightly floured surface.
  • Step #3 Cut pastry into 72 (2-inch) squares.
  • Step #4 For each square, cut a slit from each corner to within 1/4 inch of center.
  • Step #5 Spoon 1/4 tsp anchovy mixture into center of each square.
  • Step #6 Fold every other tip of slits toward center.
  • Step #7 (Tips will meet in center to form a pinwheel.
  • Step #8 ) Press to seal.
  • Step #9 Combine yolk & 1 tbsp water.
  • Step #10 Brush pinwheels with egg mixture; sprinkle with cheese.
  • Step #11 Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 mins or until golden.
