Guacamole On The Half Shell Recipe

Ingredients
  •  Salt
  • 1 firm-ripe avocado (1/2 lb.)
  • 4 to 6 warm corn tortillas (6 in.) or 2 to 3 c (2 to 3 oz.) tortilla chips
  • 1 lime (2 oz.), rinsed & cut in half
  • 2 tbsps tomato salsa or 1/2 to 1 tsp hot sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut avocado in half lengthwise; remove pit.
  • Step #2 Set each half, cut side up, on a salad plate.
  • Step #3 Spoon 1 tbsp salsa into each cavity.
  • Step #4 Set lime halves & tortillas alongside.
  • Step #5 To eat, squeeze lime halves over avocado & sprinkle with salt to taste.
  • Step #6 With a fork or a spoon, mash avocado slightly with salsa in peel, then spoon mixture onto tortillas.
