Aunt Jenny's Slow-cooker Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 c egg substitute
  • 1/3 c ketchup
  • 1 (12-oz) bottle chili sauce
  • 2 tbsps minced fresh onion
  •  Parsley sprigs (optional)
  • 1/3 c sliced fresh parsley
  • 1 (16-oz) can jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 c dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 lbs extra-lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsps brown sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first 5 ingredients In a large-ish bowl; shape mixture into 30 (1 1/2-inch) meatballs.
  • Step #2 Combine ketchup, juice, sugar, & sauces in an electric slow cooker (aka crockpot); carefully stir in the meatballs.
  • Step #3 Cover up with lid; cook on low-heat setting for 8 to 10 hrs.
  • Step #4 Garnish with parsley, if desired.
