Chicken And Shrimp Saté Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 1 lb unpeeled jumbo shrimp
  • 2 tsps curry powder
  •  Peanut Dipping Sauce
  • 1/2 c soy sauce
  • 3 tbsps water
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 c fresh lemon juice
  • 4 skinned & boned chicken breast halves, cut into 3/4-inch strips

Directions
  • Step #1 Peel shrimp, leaving tails on; devein, if desired.
  • Step #2 Place in a heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag.
  • Step #3 Place chicken strips in a separate heavy-duty zip-top Stir together garlic & next 5 ingredients; pour half of marinade over shrimp & half over chicken.
  • Step #4 Seal bags, & marinate in refrigerator 30 mins.
  • Step #5 Soak 6-inch wooden skewers in warm water 30 mins.
  • Step #6 Remove shrimp from marinade, discarding marinade.
  • Step #7 Thread shrimp onto skewers.
  • Step #8 Repeat with chicken.
  • Step #9 Grill chicken, covered with grill lid, over medium-high heat (350° to 400°) 5 mins on each side.
  • Step #10 Add shrimp; cook 2 mins on each side or until shrimp & chicken are done.
  • Step #11 Serve with Peanut Dipping Sauce.
