Smoked Salmon Toasts With Crème Fraîche Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 lemons, cut into wedges
  • 1 lb smoked salmon, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 c crème frîche or sour cream
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 c sliced fresh dill
  • 2 small shallots, peeled & halved
  • 1 loaf thinly sliced white or wheat sandwich bread
  • 3 tbsps Dijon mustard

Directions
  • Step #1 In a small bowl, mustard, mix the crème fraîche, dill, & salt.
  • Step #2 Cover up & put in the fridge for up to 1 day.
  • Step #3 Heat broiler on high.
  • Step #4 Arrange the bread on 2 baking sheets.
  • Step #5 Broil until lightly toasted, about 1 1/2 mins per side.
  • Step #6 Remove from oven.
  • Step #7 Rub 1 side of each toast with the cut side of a shallot.
  • Step #8 Cut each piece of toast on the diagonal twice to form 4 triangles.
  • Step #9 Top each triangle with a slice of salmon & a dollop of the crème fraîche mixture.
  • Step #10 Serve the lemon wedges on the side.
