Beef Tenderloin With Henry Bain Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (12-oz) bottle chili sauce
  • 1 (10-oz) bottle steak sauce
  • 1 (10-oz) bottle Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsps salt
  • 1 (14-oz) bottle ketchup
  • 1 (4 1/2- to 5-lb) beef tenderloin, trimmed
  • 1/4 c butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 (9-oz) bottle chutney
  •  Dinner rolls

Directions
  • Step #1 Process chutney in a food processor/blender until smooth.
  • Step #2 Add ketchup & next 4 ingredients, & process until mixed.
  • Step #3 Chill sauce at least 2 hrs.
  • Step #4 Stir together butter, salt, & pepper; rub over tenderloin.
  • Step #5 Place on a lightly greased rack in a jellyroll pan.
  • Step #6 (Fold under narrow end of tenderloin to fit on rack.
  • Step #7 )Bake at 500° for 30 to 35 mins or until a meat thermometer inserted into thickest portion of tenderloin registers 145° (medium-rare).
  • Step #8 Loosely cover tenderloin with aluminum foil wrap, & let this stand 15 mins before serving.
  • Step #9 Serve tenderloin with sauce & dinner rolls.
  • Step #10 Note: For testing purposes only, we used Major Grey's Chutney & A.
  • Step #11 Steak Sauce.
