Warm Garlic Spread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c evaporated fat-free milk
  • 4 whole garlic heads
  • 2 large egg yolks
  •  Cooking spray
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Step #2 Remove white papery skin from garlic heads (do not peel or separate the cloves).
  • Step #3 Wrap each head separately in foil wrap.
  • Step #4 Bake at 350° for 1 hr; cool 10 mins.
  • Step #5 Separate cloves; squeeze to extract garlic pulp.
  • Step #6 Discard skins.
  • Step #7 Combine garlic pulp & remaining ingredients except cooking spray in a mixer or food processor/blender; process until smooth.
  • Step #8 Pour garlic mixture into a shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish or gratin coated with cooking spray.
  • Step #9 Place dish In a large-ish baking pan; add hot water to pan to a depth of 1 inch.
  • Step #10 Bake at 350° for 30 mins or just until set in the center.
  • Step #11 Remove from pan; cool briefly on a rack.
  • Step #12 Serve warm or at about room temp.
