Step #1 Combine juice & plums In a large-ish saucepan or Dutch oven.
Step #2 Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, & let simmer 30 mins or until tender.
Step #3 Place plum mixture in a mixer or food processor/blender; process until smooth.
Step #4 Press pureed mixture through a fine sieve over a bowl; discard solids.
Step #5 Combine plum mixture, sugar, & remaining ingredients in pan; bring to a boil.
Step #6 Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 1 hr or until thick, stirring frequently.
Step #7 Cool.
Step #8 Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 2 months.
