Caramelized Rosemary Pears Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 5 Bosc pears, peeled, cored, & each cut into 8 wedges
  • 2 tbsps butter, plus more for buttering pan
  • 1 fresh rosemary sprig (6 in.)

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Step #2 Butter a baking pan & spread pear wedges on it in one layer.
  • Step #3 Bake until tender when pierced with a fork, 25 mins.
  • Step #4 Let pears cool, cover with plastic wrap, & chill overnight.
  • Step #5 In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp.
  • Step #6 butter.
  • Step #7 Add pears, rosemary, & salt.
  • Step #8 Cook, stirring every once in awhile, until pears are brown & caramelized, 15 mins.
  • Step #9 Stir in pepper & remove rosemary sprig.
  • Step #10 Serve hot or at about room temp.
