Fresh Tomato Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (16.3-oz) can put in the fridged flaky biscuits
  • 2 medium-size tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 c mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 c shredded fresh basil
  • 1/4 tsp coarsely ground pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first 4 ingredients.
  • Step #2 Set aside.
  • Step #3 Press each biscuit into a 4-inch circle.
  • Step #4 Place biscuit circles on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Step #5 Bake at 400° for 6 mins.
  • Step #6 Spread each biscuit evenly with about 2 tsps mayonnaise mixture.
  • Step #7 Top evenly with tomato slices.
  • Step #8 Bake at 400° for 6 more mins or until mayonnaise mixture is bubbly.
  • Step #9 Serve as soon as possible.
  • Step #10 Note: For testing purposes only, we used Pillsbury Golden Layers Buttermilk Biscuits.
