Peaches With Cava And Lemon Verbena Recipe

Ingredients
  • 10 (3-inch) lemon verbena leaves
  • 1 (750-milliliter) bottle Cava or other sparkling wine
  • 6 c sliced peaches (about 2 lbs)
  • 1/2 tsp minced lemon verbena leaves
  • 1/2 c sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine whole verbena leaves & sparkling wine In a large-ish saucepan; bring to a boil over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #2 Cook until reduced to 1 c (about 15 mins).
  • Step #3 Remove & discard the whole leaves.
  • Step #4 Add sugar, stirring until dissolved.
  • Step #5 Add sliced peaches; bring to a boil.
  • Step #6 Remove from heat.
  • Step #7 Cover up & chill in the fridge.
  • Step #8 Stir in minced verbena leaves just before serving.
