Orange Bubble Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1/4 c butter, melted
  • 1/4 c granulated sugar
  •  Cooking spray
  • 2 1/2 tsps bread-machine yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 c 2% reduced-fat milk
  • 1/4 c water
  • 4 c bread flour
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tbsps grated orange rind
  • 1/2 c granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp orange juice

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first 5 ingredients in a 2-c glass measure.
  • Step #2 Microwave at HIGH for 3 mins.
  • Step #3 Cool 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring c; level with a knife.
  • Step #5 Follow manufacturer's instructions for placing milk mixture, yeast, & egg into bread pan, flour, & select the dough cycle; start bread machine.
  • Step #6 Remove dough from machine (do not bake).
  • Step #7 Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, & knead 30 seconds.
  • Step #8 Cover up dough; let rest 10 mins.
  • Step #9 Divide the dough into 24 equal portions, shaping each into a ball (cover remaining dough to keep from drying).
  • Step #10 Combine 1/2 c granulated sugar & rind.
  • Step #11 Dip each ball into 1/4 c melted butter, & roll in sugar mixture.
  • Step #12 Place balls in bottom of a 10-inch tube pan coated with cooking spray.
  • Step #13 Cover up & let rise in a warm place (85°), free from drafts, 45 mins or until doubled in size.
  • Step #14 Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Step #15 Bake at 350° for 35 mins.
  • Step #16 Cool in pan 5 mins on a wire rack; remove bread from pan.
  • Step #17 Cool bread 15 mins on wire rack.
  • Step #18 Combine 1/2 c powdered sugar & orange juice.
  • Step #19 Drizzle mixture over loaf, & serve warm.
