Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps water
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 c firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 4 McIntosh apples, peeled & sliced (about 2 lb.)

Directions
  • Step #1 Toss together first 4 ingredients In a large-ish zip-top plastic bag, tossing to coat apples.
  • Step #2 Cook apple mixture, 2 Tbsp.
  • Step #3 water, & 1 Tbsp.
  • Step #4 butter in a medium saucepan over med-heat/flame, stirring every once in awhile, 8 to 10 mins or until apples are tender.
