Step #1 Prepare 1 c regular grits according to package directions.
Step #2 Stir in 1 c (4 oz) shredded extra-sharp Cheddar cheese until melted.
Step #3 Pour hot cooked grits into a greased 9-inch square pan.
Step #4 Cover up & chill 8 hrs or until firm.
Step #5 Invert onto a cutting board, & cut into 4 squares.
Step #6 Cut each square into 4 triangles.
Step #7 Fry grits, in batches, in 2 tbsps hot vegetable oil In a large-ish nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 2 mins on each side or until golden brown.
Step #8 Remove from pan, & set aside.
Step #9 Cook 2 large sliced sweet onions & 1 tbsp sugar in 2 tbsps hot oil in skillet over medium-high heat, stirring costantly, 20 mins or until deep golden brown.
Step #10 Arrange 4 grits triangles in a single layer in a lightly greased individual baking dish; top this with turkey, sautèed onion, & Cheese Sauce.
