Country Ham Recipe

Ingredients
  •  Hot biscuits
  • 1 tbsp whole cloves
  • 1 (12- to 14-lb) uncooked country ham
  • 2 quarts cider vinegar

Directions
  • Step #1 Place ham In a large-ish container.
  • Step #2 Add water to cover, & soak 24 hrs.
  • Step #3 Drain.
  • Step #4 Scrub ham 3 to 4 times in cold water with a stiff brush, & rinse well.
  • Step #5 Place ham, fat side up, In a large-ish roasting pan.
  • Step #6 Pour vinegar over ham; sprinkle with cloves.
  • Step #7 Cover up with lid or aluminum foil wrap.
  • Step #8 Bake at 325° for 4 hrs or until meat thermometer registers 140°.
  • Step #9 Remove from oven, & cool slightly.
  • Step #10 Slice ham, & serve this with hot biscuits.
