Chickenn Basil Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsps butter
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 c sliced fresh basil
  • 1/2 c chicken broth
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 c heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (4 oz) jar sliced pimento peppers, drained
  • 1/4 c dried bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Place milk & bread crumbs in separate, shallow bowls.
  • Step #2 In skillet, heat butter or margarine to medium heat.
  • Step #3 Dip chicken in milk, then coat with crumbs.
  • Step #4 Cook in butter or margarine, on both sides, until juices run clear (about 10 mins).
  • Step #5 Remove & keep warm.
  • Step #6 Add broth to skillet.
  • Step #7 Bring to a boil over med-heat/flame, & stir this to loosen browned bits from pan.
  • Step #8 Stir in cream & pimentos; boil & stir for 1 min.
  • Step #9 Reduce heat.
  • Step #10 Add Parmesan cheese, basil & pepper.
  • Step #11 Stir sauce & cook this until heated through.
  • Step #12 Pour mixture over chicken & serve!.
