Quiche Lorraine Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c (8 oz) shredded Swiss cheese, divided
  • 8 bacon slices, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 c whipping cream
  • 1/2 (15-oz) package put in the fridged piecrusts
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1/8 tsp ground white pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Fit piecrust into a 9-inch pieplate according to package directions; fold edges under, & crimp.
  • Step #2 Bake at 400° for 7 mins; remove this from oven.
  • Step #3 Cook bacon pieces In a large-ish skillet until crisp; drain on paper towels, & crumble.
  • Step #4 Sprinkle top bacon, green onions, & 1 c cheese into prepared crust.
  • Step #5 Whisk together eggs & next 4 ingredients; pour mixture into crust, & sprinkle with remaining 1 c cheese & nutmeg.
  • Step #6 Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 mins or until set.
  • Step #7 Let stand 10 mins.
