Cinnamon Breakfast Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c raisins, divided
  • 3/4 c sliced pecans, divided
  • 2 tsps ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine, divided & melted
  • 1 (18.25-oz) package French vanilla cake mix
  • 5 1/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 c warm water (105° to 115°)
  • 1 c powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsps milk
  • 2 (1/4-oz) envelopes active dry yeast
  • 1/2 c sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Stir together first 5 ingredients In a large-ish bowl; cover & let rise in a warm place (85°), free from drafts, 1 hr.
  • Step #2 Combine 1/2 c sugar & cinnamon.
  • Step #3 Turn dough out onto a well-floured surface; divide in half.
  • Step #4 Roll one portion into an 18- x 12-inch rectangle.
  • Step #5 Brush with half of butter; sprinkle with half of sugar mixture, half of raisins, & 1/4 c pecans.
  • Step #6 Roll up starting at long end; cut crosswise into 16 (1-inch-thick) slices.
  • Step #7 Place rolls into a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch pan.
  • Step #8 Repeat procedure with remaining rectangle.
  • Step #9 Cover up & chill 8 hrs.
  • Step #10 Remove from refrigerator, & let this stand 30 mins.
  • Step #11 Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 mins or until golden; cool slightly.
  • Step #12 Stir together powdered sugar, milk, & vanilla; drizzle over rolls.
  • Step #13 Sprinkle top with remaining pecans.
