  • Step #1 Coarsely shred 2 1/2 oz almond paste to make about 1/2 c.
  • Step #2 In a bowl, stir almond paste & 2 tbsps melted butter to form a soft paste.
  • Step #3 Slice open 4 fresh croissants.
  • Step #4 Spread almond paste mixture equally on cut sides of bottom halves, then sprinkle 1/4 c (1 oz.
  • Step #5 ) coarsely sliced semisweet or bittersweet chocolate equally over almond paste.
  • Step #6 Replace tops.
  • Step #7 Set croissants on a baking sheet & bake in a 350° oven until chocolate starts to melt, 5 to 7 mins.
