Stuffed French Toast Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1 (16-oz) French bread loaf, cut into 18 slices
  • 1/3 c maple syrup
  •  Dash of ground cinnamon
  • 1 (3-oz) package cream cheese, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 2 c milk
  • 12 large eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Place 9 French bread slices in a single layer in the bottom of a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish, & top this with cream cheese slices.
  • Step #2 Place remaining French bread slices on top of cream cheese.
  • Step #3 Whisk together eggs & next 3 ingredients; pour over bread.
  • Step #4 Cover up & chill 8 hrs.
  • Step #5 Remove from refrigerator, & let this stand at about room temp 30 mins before baking.
  • Step #6 Bake at 350° for 45 mins, shielding with aluminum foil wrap after 20 mins to prevent excessive browning.
