Cream Scones Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c whipping cream
  • 1/3 c butter, cut up
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 c sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first 4 ingredients; cut in butter with a pastry mixer until crumbly.
  • Step #2 Add whipping cream, stirring just until moistened.
  • Step #3 Turn out onto a lightly floured surface; knead 5 or 6 times.
  • Step #4 Roll to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch round cutter, & place this in lightly greased muffin pans or 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets.
  • Step #5 Bake at 375° for 15 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #6 Serve with preserves & whipped cream.
