Bacon, Gruyère, And Ham Strata Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c (4 oz) shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 c sliced green onions
  • 3/4 c sliced ham
  • 1/4 tsp ground red pepper
  •  Cooking spray
  • 12 oz sourdough French bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (about 10 c), toasted
  • 2 c fat-free milk
  • 1 c egg substitute
  • 4 bacon slices, cooked & crumbled (drained)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine milk, & pepper In a large-ish bowl, egg substitute, green onions, mustard, stirring with a whisk.
  • Step #2 Add bread cubes & ham; stir well to mix.
  • Step #3 Pour into a 2-quart baking pan coated with cooking spray.
  • Step #4 Sprinkle top with shredded cheese.
  • Step #5 Cover up & chill 8 hrs or overnight.
  • Step #6 Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Step #7 Uncover dish, & bake this at 350° for 20 mins.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top with bacon.
  • Step #9 Bake an extra 15 mins or until bread mixture is set & cheese is bubbly.
