Chocolate Snowballs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2/3 c white sugar
  • 1 1/4 c butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c confectioners' sugar for decoration
  • 2 c sliced pecans
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In a medium bowl, cream butter & sugar until light & fluffy.
  • Step #2 Stir in the vanilla.
  • Step #3 Sift together the flour, salt, & cocoa; stir in theto the creamed mixture.
  • Step #4 Mix in the pecans until well mixed.
  • Step #5 Cover, & chill for at least 2 hrs.
  • Step #6 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #7 Roll chilled dough into 1 inch balls.
  • Step #8 Place on ungreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
  • Step #9 Bake for 20 mins in preheated oven.
  • Step #10 Roll in confectioners' sugar when cooled.
