Sparkly Cranberry Scones Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 2 tbsps sparkling sugar*
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 1/2 c granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed

Directions
  • Step #1 Stir together first 4 ingredients In a large-ish bowl; stir in the cranberries.
  • Step #2 Whisk together butter, 1/2 c milk, & 1 egg; add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened & dough forms.
  • Step #3 Drop dough by 1/3 cfuls onto a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Step #4 Whisk together remaining 1 egg & 1 Tbsp.
  • Step #5 milk.
  • Step #6 Brush tops of dough with egg mixture, & sprinkle evenly with sparkling sugar.
  • Step #7 Bake at 400° for 20 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #8 *Granulated sugar may be substituted.
  • Step #9 Note: Purchase sparkling sugar at crafts stores or supercenters with cake-decorating supplies.
